PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a porous film with excellent heat resistance and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: This multi-layer porous film includes: a porous film which contains (A) 50 to 90 pts.mass high-density polyethylene with not less than 200,000 to less than 500,000 weight-average molecular weight, and (B) 50 to 10 pts.mass high-density polyethylene with not less than 500,000 to not more than 700,000 weight-average molecular weight; and a porous layer which overlies at least, one side of the porous film and contains an inorganic filler.
