PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image recording device, a control method for an image recording device, and a program for that, in which a recording process is not stopped, but continued, even when a recording medium fed from a feed tray is mis-fed. SOLUTION: The image recording device 1 comprises an image recording part 41 on a carrying passage for the recording medium. The recording process is carried out to a first surface of the recording medium as a sheet, and a second surface as a back side surface of the first surface by an image recording part 41. A feed part 11 comprises the feed tray 12, and a feed roller 13 to feed the recording medium from the feed tray 12 to the carrying passage. A recording medium control part 3 predicts time when the recording medium reversed after the recording process to the first surface is refed to reach a combining position upstream of the image recording part 41 along the carrying passage, and controls the feed roller 13 based on the result of prediction to retract the recording medium of which refeeding to the combining position from the feed tray 12 has been started.
