PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reliably suppress errors caused by the metastable state of a comparator. SOLUTION: An A/D converter includes: a plurality of comparators CMP 0 to CMP 6 for comparing a plurality of respective standard voltages with an analog input value for a magnitude thereof by generating a plurality of different voltages as the standard voltages; a logical boundary detection part 200 for detecting a logical boundary point where output signals from the plurality of comparators CMP 0 to CMP 6 switch from one level to another in outputs from the comparators CMP 0 to CMP 6 arranged according to the size of the standard voltages; and a plurality of majority decision circuits AVG 0 to AVG 6 to which the output signals from the plurality of comparators corresponding to continuous standard voltages are input, in which logical threshold values are adjusted every terminal for receiving inputs from the respective comparators, and which determine outputs by majority decision.
