PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform suitable color gamut conversion under more various conditions. SOLUTION: A generating method selecting unit 121 is configured to select a generating method for an LU table by an LU table generating unit 122. A first LU table generating unit 131 is configured to generate an LU table on the basis of an original color gamut and a target color gamut. A second LU table generating unit 132 is configured to set distribution of colors (optimal colors) which can be sensed with the human eyes and to generate an LU table. A third LU table generating unit 133 is configured to analyze the color distribution of image data, to set its distribution as an original color gamut, and to generate an LU table. A constant setting unit 134 is configured to set a constant common to all hues as a saturation ratio instead of generating the LU table.
