PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional apparatus cannot be configured by inexpensive functional units. SOLUTION: The packet capturing apparatus acquires audio packets transmitted in a predetermined direction on a network, stores a standby time required until the start of reception of packets transmitted in a reverse direction on the network, and starts to receive each of the packets transmitted in the reverse direction on the network after the stored standby time elapses. If an echo detection device does not detect an echo, the apparatus adds or reduces a reproduction time of the audio information to or from the stored standby time and updates the information. The apparatus calculates the standby time in advance by using control information used for transmission reception control of the packets, and stores results of calculation as a standby time. The apparatus stores the standby time in association with inter-terminal identification information for identifying inter-terminal, and starts to acquire the packets transmitted in the reverse direction after the corresponding standby time elapses.
