PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quickly restore an optical disk device to a normal state when an electromagnetic force control mechanism is actuated to prevent collision between an objective lens and an optical disk. SOLUTION: The optical disk device includes: a laser light source, an objective lens 11a, a focusing and tracking actuator 12 holding and driving the objective lens 11a in an optical axis direction, a control part, and an electromagnetic force control mechanism 13 which is disposed facing an optical disk medium 80 across the objective lens 11a so as not to be in contact with the objective lens 11a and which generates electromagnetic force. A metal part 12d is attached to the objective lens 11a. The control part detects an abnormal state that the objective lens 11a approaches the optical disk medium 80, and causes the electromagnetic force control mechanism 13 to generate the electromagnetic force so as to separate the objective lens 11a and the metal part 12d from the optical disk medium 80.
