An emergency vision apparatus for providing an operator visual access to information during a smoke emergency comprises an enclosure made of airtight material having spaced apart front and rear panels, the front panel being transparent, and including fasteners for attachment to an instrument panel. A first image capture device is operably associated with the rear panel. The first image capture device is oriented to view the instrument panel through the transparent front panel. A first viewing device is operably associated with the first image capture device for being disposed in front of the operator's eye to allow viewing of the instrument panel encompassed by the first image capture device during a smoke emergency.
