<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine failure of a valve to regulate the line pressure. <P>SOLUTION: A failure determination device includes an ECU to execute a program which include a step S100 to set the indication values for drain standby pressure and up-standby pressure in accordance with the condition of an automatic transmission during gear shifting, and a step S108 to determine that an SLT linear solenoid valve to regulate the line pressure is in failure if the indication value for at least one of the drain standby pressure and up-standby pressure increases over the first threshold or if an increasing amount of indication value is larger than the second threshold (Yes at S106). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
