MANUFACTURING METHOD OF POSITIVE ACTIVE MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a positive active material for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery having high capacity and high charge discharge efficiency.

SOLUTION: A positive electrode 2 has a positive active material. The positive active material is obtained by covering composite oxide particles containing lithium (Li) and at least one of nickel (Ni) and cobalt (Co) with ammonium sulfate and ammonium borate, and then heating the composite oxide particles covered with the ammonium sulfate and the ammonium borate in oxidizing atmosphere.
