<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell capable of achieving increase of an output, and capable of producing water necessary for reaction at an anode (a fuel electrode) from fuel, and stably supplying water and the fuel to the anode (the fuel electrode). <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell 1 is provided with the anode (the fuel electrode) 13 equipped with an anode catalyst layer 11 and an anode gas diffusion layer 12, a cathode (an air electrode) 16 equipped with a cathode catalyst layer 14 and a cathode gas diffusion layer 15, an electrolyte membrane 17 pinched by the anode (fuel electrode) 13 and the cathode (air electrode) 16, a fuel housing part 41 which is arranged at an anode (fuel electrode) side and houses the fuel consisting of a first fuel generating hydrogen ions and electrons and a second fuel containing peroxide, and a catalyst layer 80 for the second fuel which is arranged between the anode catalyst layer 11 and the fuel housing part 41 and mainly functions as a catalyst for the second fuel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
