<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vertical type solid polymer fuel cell capable of effectively making use of a material gas while preventing deterioration of power generation performance. <P>SOLUTION: In the vertical type solid polymer fuel cell 100 wherein an intermediate flange 133 having a fuel gas connection passage 133a for connecting between a fuel gas collection manifold 110c of an upper stack 110 and a fuel gas supply manifold 120a of a lower stack 120 is sandwiched, a lower end side of a fuel gas supply manifold 110a of the upper stack 110 and an upper end side of the fuel gas supply manifold 120a of the lower stack 120 are connected with each other via a bypass tube 141 and a drainer 145, and a lower end side of the fuel gas supply manifold 120a of the lower stack 120 and the outside are connected with each other via a bypass tube 142 and a drainer 146. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
