PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a screen print body which can perform screen printing with excellent accuracy even for the large sized body to be printed with the large area surface to be printed and has excellent printing accuracy. SOLUTION: The method is for producing the screen print body having a print pattern formed on the body 10 to be printed by sliding a squeegee over a screen 3 made of a screen printing plate 5 comprising the screen 3 parallel disposed above the body 10 to be printed with keeping a given clearance CL and a printing plate frame 4. The ratio (W/L) of the width (W) of the squeegee to the internal size (L) of the side perpendicular to the axis of the sliding direction of the squeegee in the printing plate frame 4 is 0.45 or more, and an optimum clearance between the body 10 to be printed and the screen 3 is selected and set on the basis of correlation between the clearance CL in the range of 0.1 to 2.0 mm and the degree of deviation in the printing position of the print pattern, under the condition of the value W/L being constant.
