PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conductive wire having an insulating portion at a prescribed portion on an outer periphery capable of reducing wiring accidents by simplifying the arrangement of the conductive wires such as trolley wires and top aerial wires in a dead section, etc. SOLUTION: This conductive wire having the insulating portion at the prescribed portion on the outer periphery is provided with a core member 1 formed of fibers of an insulator, a conductor 2 formed on an outer periphery of the core member 1 and an insulating member 3 formed in place of the conductor 2 at the prescribed portion of the conductor 2.
