<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a module retrieval technology for comprehensively retrieving a co-expression module from a largely scaled expression profile database, and to provide a module retrieval technology for retrieving a biologically meaningful co-expression module with much higher precision. <P>SOLUTION: A discrete expression profile database is provided with a plurality of discrete expression profiles generated from a plurality of expression profiles. In the discrete expression profile, an expression value is made discrete, and converted into a discrete label. A module retrieval part generates a discrete value matrix from a query profile and a database, and compresses the discrete value matrix based on the query profile. The compressed matrix is processed by bi-clustering using a saturated item group enumeration method, and a co-expression module is searched. Furthermore, a noise is permitted in the range of an allowable noise or less, and a plurality of co-expression modules are merged. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
