<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem with a conventional resistance type touch panel, in which, when two points on the touch panel are pressed, the positions thereof cannot be detected only by simply measuring the voltage. <P>SOLUTION: The resistance type touch panel including two flat plates disposed provided with flat conductive layers each provided with electrodes on two opposed sides being opposite to each other comprises a first point position calculation means which calculates the position of a first point to which the two flat plates contact; a storage means for storing the position of the first point; a second point detection means which calculates a second point to which the two flat plates contact; a distance-between-two-points distance calculation means which calculates the distance between the first point and the second point; an intermediate point coordinate detection means which detects an intermediate coordinate between the first point and the second point; and a second point position calculation means which calculates the position of the second point based on the distance between the two points and the intermediate point coordinate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
