PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal compatible with a system capable of automatically detecting and notifying specific person's encounter with an accident regardless of the person's form of travel. SOLUTION: The communication terminal includes: an acceleration sensor unit for detecting an acceleration; a communication unit connected to communicate with a mobile communication network; a storage unit storing a condition pattern satisfied by the acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor unit in case of encounter with an accident, and an emergency contact address or telephone number; and a control unit connected with the acceleration sensor unit, the communication unit and the storage unit, to control these units' operation. The control unit controls the communication unit to communicate with the emergency contact when the acceleration detected by the acceleration sensor unit satisfies the condition pattern.
