<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elastic member that has an elastic layer restrained in electric resistance fluctuation resulting from a thermal hysteresis relative to an unvulcanized rubber composition. <P>SOLUTION: In the elastic member for electrophotography, which has the elastic layer with a volume resistivity of 1×10<SP>3</SP>to 1×10<SP>10</SP>Ω cm, the elastic layer is formed from vulcanized rubber obtained by crosslinking a semi-conductive, unvulcanized rubber composition containing a vulcanization accelerator expressed by general formula [1].
