PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an endoscope bending portion which makes it possible to easily mount an operation wire on a wire insertion part to be the wire receiver of respective joint rings. SOLUTION: The joint ring 35 is divided into a joint ring lower side part 36 and a joint ring upper side part 46 which are a pair of arcuate division bodies roughly in a semi-annular shape. The joint ring lower side part 36 has two (a pair of) wire mounting parts 53 of a roughly semi-annular shape. When the joint ring lower side parts 36 are connected with each other, the operation wire 42 for bending the bending portion 22 is mounted on the wire mounting part 53. The ring joint lower side parts 36 are connected with each other. Thereafter, by melting a bonding surface 51 in the joint ring lower side part 36 and a bonding surface 51 in the joint ring upper side part 46 by a laser or the like for instance, the joint ring lower side part 36 and the joint ring upper side part 46 are bonded and integrated.
