摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety of a component concentration measurement using a photoacoustic method, in which a laser beam having an optical power in accordance with the laser safety standard of the skin is irradiated so as to generate a photoacoustic wave and a subject needs to be irradiated correctly for safe use, by confirming whether or not the subject is in such a condition that the subject is irradiated with intensity modulated light correctly. SOLUTION: A component concentration measuring apparatus 270 comprises a subject detecting means 271 for detecting whether a biological subject 110 is positioned correctly on an optical path of intensity modulated light emitted from an illumination head 112. The apparatus is further provided with a detection determining means 272, a light emission control means 273, a non-detection determining means 274, and a light suppression control means 275 in order to emit intensity modulated light from the illumination head 112 only when the biological subject 110 is positioned correctly.
