A photoresist resin composition for a color filter, and a color filter using the composition are provided to improve leveling even by using no surfactant. A photoresist resin composition for a color filter comprises an acrylic binder resin comprising the repeating unit having the structure represented by the formulas 1 ~ 3; a photopolymerization monomer; a photopolymerization initiator; a pigment; and a solvent, wherein R1, R2 and R4 are independently hydrogen or methyl; R5 is alkyl or aryl; R and R' are hydrogen or alkyl; p is an integer of 1 ~ 4; 1<=l<=10; 1<=m<=3; and 1<=n<=10.
