The cutting tool has a cutting plate and a cutting plate holder (3). The cutting plate holder has a recess for receiving the cutting plate. A groove (22) is provided, which does not extend through the longitudinal extension of the cutting plate at the side opposite to an opening (5a) of a recess (5). A bar (23) of the cutting plate holder has a thickness, such that it is deformed elastically. The bar is placed between the recess and the groove. The cutting plate has another recess at its edge section facing the groove.
