An MAC address copying method of an Ethernet duplication system is provided to restore the inconsistency which may be generated between systems when copying an MAC address, quickly. An active system determines whether an MAC address is changed(S31). The changed MAC address is updated in the first MAC address database of the active system(S32). The changed MAC address is stored in the second MAC address database of a standby system(S34).
