A method for setting parameter in a PLC network is provided to shorten a time of parameter setting by using a dummy data for a parameter setting received from the master module. In a method for setting parameter in a PLC network, an initial usage power source is supplied(S300). The slave module recognizes oneself ID and performs an initialization for data communication for the mater module(S302). Dummy data for the parameter setting is received from the master module after the initialization performance(S306). It checks whether identical ID is included in the network or not(S308, S310).
