摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording layer for an optical information recording medium, which has high signal percentage modulation and high carrier-to-noise ratio even though recording laser power is allow as about 6-7 mW and also is excellent in durability, and an optical information recording medium equipped with the recording layer. <P>SOLUTION: On this recording layer for the optical recording medium, a recording mark is formed by the irradiation of laser beam. This recording layer is made of a nitrogen-containing In base alloy or In-Ni alloy and/or In-Co alloy containing 1-50 atomic percentage of Ni and/or Co. A preferable content of nitrogen in the In-Ni alloy lies in the range of 5-14 atomic percentage, while that in the In-Co alloy lies in the range of 5-20 atomic percentage. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
