<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processing apparatus that allows users to drag and drop a job execution file into an icon instructing job execution, and executes a job under a plurality of conditions and skips the operations of creating or displaying a plurality of icons. <P>SOLUTION: In the information processing apparatus, when a target file 101a, 102a or 111a to be used for job execution stored in a directory 101, 102, or 111 is detected as being dragged and dropped into a job execution icon 110, the directory storing the target file is detected from the target file for job execution.
