PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize, in a pigment composition using a yellow pigment having a structure based on barbituric acid typified by C.I. Pigment Yellow 150, making the pigment finer and highly concentrated without being accompanied by high viscosity just after the dispersion, coagulation, sedimentation and viscosity increase with time, and to provide a stable pigment composition as a colorant for resists of color filters and inks of inkjets. SOLUTION: The metal complex consists of two molecules of an azo compound having barbituric acid as coupling components with cobalt, zinc and the like.
