<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure door locking operation and unlocking operation satisfactorily even when power supply from the vehicle body side is stopped in a door lock system for a vehicle. <P>SOLUTION: The door lock system for the vehicle comprises a door lock motor 2 installed at a door that can be opened/closed with respect to the vehicle body; power supply lines 5, 6 for supplying electric power of a battery 3 mounted to the vehicle body, to the door lock motor 2 through an ECU 4; and a capacitor 13 installed at the door and charged with electric power supplied from the battery 3 through a power supply line 10.
