<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot water system using a storage battery as a power source for a heater capable of generating hot water at high energy efficiency while reducing the size of a hot water storage tank. <P>SOLUTION: The hot water system 10 includes the hot water storage tank 20, the heater 22 for heating hot water stored in the hot water storage tank 20, the storage battery 34 which is the power source of the heater 22, and a heating controlling part 36 for performing heating of the hot water by the heater 22 by supplying power outputted from the storage battery 34 to the heater 22 as direct current power.
