PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet recording device and the method for cleaning a cleaning blade which enable it to eliminate cleaning dregs effectively without dropping the productivity while performing a usual writing operation, and to make it unnecessary to supplement and interchange consumables for cleaning, and to maintain a stable cleaning performance without stopping the device. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device 10 comprises the cleaning area (hole part 92) of the cleaning blade 52 and a cleaning dregs recovery part 32 for eliminating the cleaning dregs from the cleaning area on an intermediate transfer belt 12 in the downstream of a transfer part 26. The cleaning area is provided with a cleaning structure such as through-holes, concave holes, concave grooves and concave level difference. When the cleaning area moves to the processing area of the cleaning dregs recovery part 32, the dregs are eliminated from the cleaning area by the processing such as the extrusion of the dregs in the cleaning structure, an air blasting and the jetting of a washing fluid.
