PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper discharge device of an inkjet image forming device, excellently reducing the ratio of generation of paper discharge jam, enhancing the alignment of discharged paper, and thereby improving a discharged paper quality. SOLUTION: The paper discharge device is provided with: a paper discharge tray for receiving discharged paper sheets P, two guide plates 220, 220 which are arranged outwardly from both ends of the paper discharge tray in its width direction in an obliquely and upwardly inclined manner to raise both ends of the discharged paper sheets above a paper sheet receiving surface of the paper discharge tray; a drive motor 270 for changing at least one of the spacing of the guide plates 220, 220 and the contact angle of the guide plates with the paper sheet; a paper sheet state detection device 290 for detecting the state of the paper sheets P; and a control device 280 for performing the drive control of the drive motor 270 based on the state of the paper sheets.
