PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveying device and an image forming device, which detect a sheet at low cost while not upsizing them. SOLUTION: A sheet conveying passage PP for conveying a sheet is provided between a transfer unit 20 for transferring a toner image formed on an image forming unit 1B to the sheet, and a fixing unit 22 for fixing the toner image transferred by the transfer unit 20. A wind pressure sensor 214 for sensing the wind pressure in an air passage is provided in the air passage R in which air is allowed to flow in the direction across the sheet conveying passage PP, and presence/absence of any sheet on the sheet conveying passage is determined based on wind pressure information from the wind pressure sensor 214.
