PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an economical drive assist device creating information indicating the degree of economy of drive operation of a vehicle. SOLUTION: The economical drive assist device 1 informs degree of economy of the drive operation of the vehicle by indicating relative state thereof to a determination threshold varying according to a vehicle drive state. The device includes a powertrain ECU 10 calculating the determination threshold value and economical drive state quantity indicating ratio to the determination threshold value based on the drive state of the vehicle, and a meter EUC 20 performing indication based on information sent from the powertrain EUC 10.
