The invention concerns a polyclonal antibody directed against EBP (elastin binding protein), that can be obtained by means of a method comprising the immunization of a non-human mammal with a recombinant protein, comprising an antigenic fragment of EBP fused to a carrier protein, and the purification of the resulting serum by separation of the immunoglobulins G (IgGs) from the serum and elimination of the antibodies directed against the carrier protein.
