<p>The invention relates to a cash box system comprising a cash container (10) for receiving cash, especially hard cash, comprising an inlet opening (11) which can be closed by a cover (12) and a locking mechanism having a locked state in which the cover (12) is locked in a position closing the inlet opening (11), and a release state in which the cover (12) is unlocked and can be brought in a position to release the inlet opening (11). The locking mechanism is configured in such manner that it is forcibly transferred from the locked state to the release state when the cash container (10) is emptied. A cash box system of the above kind is less susceptible to mistakes made by service staff and yet remains safe from unauthorized access to the cash. The cash box system is preferably supplemented by a vending machine in which the cash container can be inserted, a collector for emptying the cash container and a service vehicle in which the collector is arranged.</p> |
