A converter is provided to be connected with a digital video signal processing unit regardless of the kinds of video sources. An input module(110) receives a video signal inputted from a video source. In case the video signal received from the input module is an analog signal, a converting module(130) converts the analog video signal into a digital signal. An encoder(140) encodes the digital video signal in a predetermined format. A digital device interface(150) outputs the signal outputted from the encoder to a digital video signal processor. In case the video signal is a digital signal, a transcoding module(170) transcodes it in a predetermined format before bypassing it. |
