PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a preceding subthread from an objective thread that has not been executed yet. SOLUTION: In the central processing unit, the content of instruction to the central processing unit from commands constituting the objective thread is discriminated, instead of relationship between threads obtained by analyzing execution results of the objective thread, for selecting a preceding subthread. For example, the central processing unit selects a preceding subthread by discriminating kinds of commands as a content. In a detailed example, the central processing unit discriminates whether the data stored in a register corresponds to a store command stored in a memory or to a floating point arithmetic command, as a kind of command, and selects the preceding subthread by selecting a command having no correspondence.
