PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display device which can reduce the horizontal stripes which occurs when the interval between the gate clock signal start timing changes similarly in each frame regardless of the frame cycles. SOLUTION: The modulation wave generator circuit 205 applies frequency modulation to a triangle wave based on a first clock CLK1 by using a triangle wave based on a second clock CLK2. The clock modulator circuit 206 applies frequency modulation to the system clock SYS_CLK by using the frequency modulated triangle wave. In this case, each frequency is set up, so that "the frequency ratio of the first clock CLK and the second clock CLK2 can not be expressed by a:b (a, b are integer numbers)" or "the frequency ratio of the first clock CLK1 and the second clock CLK2 can be expressed by a:b (a, b are prime numbers), and the frequency of the first clock CLK1 is 1000 times the frequency of the second clock CLK2 or larger".
