PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pattern forming method capable of shortening the creation time of a pattern with a design. SOLUTION: Based on the coordinates of a graphic pattern, splitting patterns which split at least the graphic patterns into forms corresponding to graphic cells are formed. The graphic cells are superimposed on the splitting patterns existing on the graphic patterns among the splitting patterns. The splitting patterns, and the graphic cells arranged on the graphic patterns and the splitting patterns are computed to form the patterns with the designs. The graphic cells can be readily arranged, and the creation time of the patterns with the designs can be shortened. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
