PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging device capable of performing imaging in an accurate state by preventing a lens hood from being reflected in any combination of a lens and the lens hood in a digital video camera. SOLUTION: The imaging device includes the lens hood attached to the lens, a means for communicating with the lens and the lens hood, a means including a light shield angle information on the lens hood and maximum wide-angle information of the lens, calculating an angle at which the lens hood is reflected depending on the combination of the lens and the lens hood, and warning a user of the reflection of the lens hood.
