PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reel device with a tension adjusting mechanism capable of unwinding and winding a wire-like body by a substantially constant tension, and increasing the winding length without increasing the size of the reel device. SOLUTION: A reel body 8 for winding a wire-like body 16 is rotatably supported, a rotary shaft 18 is arranged coaxially with the reel body 8, and one end of an urging member 20 for urging the wire-like body 16 around the reel body 8 is connected to the reel body 8 side, and the other end is connected to the rotary shaft 18 side. The rotary shaft is 18 is rotated in the same direction as the rotational direction of the reel body 8 by controlling a drive source for rotating the rotary shaft 18, and there is provided a tension adjusting mechanism 44 for allowing the rotation of the rotary shaft 18 to follow the rotation of the reel body 8. In the tension adjusting mechanism 44, a sun gear 48 is fitted to the rotary shaft 18, an internal gear 52 to be rotated opposite to the reel body 8 is provided, a carrier shaft 54 for rotatably supporting a planetary gear 50 is revolvingly supported around the rotary shaft 18, and the revolution of the carrier shaft 54 is detected to control the drive source.
