<p>An ignition timing control device for an internal-combustion engine capable of ensuring stable combustion and improving drivability without causing an accidental fire and knocking by appropriately setting the ignition timing in a compression stroke injection mode. An ignition timing control device for an internal-combustion engine (3) which injects fuel directly into a cylinder (3a) and is operated while switching between an intake stroke injection mode and a compression stroke injection mode comprises a fuel injection timing setting means (2) for setting the fuel injection timing (INJOBJ) according to the number of revolutions (NE) of the internal-combustion engine (3) and the fuel injection quantity (GFUEL), a base value setting means (2) for setting the base value (IGBASE) of the ignition timing according to the number of revolutions (NE) of the internal-combustion engine (3) and the fuel injection timing (INJOBJ), and an ignition timing setting means (2) for correcting the base value (IGBASE) according to a detected air-fuel ratio (AF) to set the ignition timing (IGCOMP) in the compression stroke injection mode.</p>
