<p>This object aims to provide an optical fiber connecting device that can suppress optical transmission loss such as micro-bending loss and can achieve an optical connection with low loss by relatively simple work. The optical fiber connecting device is provided with a rectangular base unit in which an optical fiber guiding path is defined along a longitudinal direction, a sleeve that is arranged at a part of the optical fiber guiding path defined in the base unit and in which exposed core members are connected with each other for performing optical communication, and a pair of fiber fixing knobs that are arranged at both edges of the base unit in the longitudinal direction and make the optical fiber guided in the optical fiber guiding path held in such a way that the fiber is pushed into the guiding path toward the sleeve, wherein the sleeve is arranged in the vicinity of one of the pair of the fiber fixing knobs and the fiber guiding path between the other end of the pair of the fiber fixing knobs and the sleeve guides the held optical fiber in a flexible state.</p> |
