VISUAL INTERFACE FOR SYSTEM FOR DEPLOYING COMPUTER BASED PROCESS ON SHARED INFRASTRUCTURE

Deploying a computer based process on shared physical infrastructure (815) of a service provider, involves generating a model (827) of the process, suitable for automated deployment, to meet given non functional requirements, by generating for the model a representation (829) of an arrangement of software application components, for carrying out the functional steps, and a design (834) of computing infrastructure, for running the software application components. A visual interface (832, 834) for operators generates a three dimensional view of at least the computing infrastructure design of the model for operators. An input interpreter translates operator inputs associated with the three dimensional view into changes to corresponding parts of the model. The 3-D visual interface enables managing of more complex systems, or reduce the need for knowledgeable human operators.
