A universal joint shaft for a vehicle steering device is provided to prevent vibration noise from being generated by reducing direct abrasive phenomenon of a hollow shaft by mounting a slipping connection apparatus between an insert shaft and a hollow shaft. A universal joint shaft for a vehicle steering device is composed of a universal joint installed at each end part, and an insert connecting part(3) which mutually connects an insert shaft(1) and a hollow shaft(2) expandably. The insert connecting part is composed of an inner circular groove(23) formed in the circumference of a hollow(22) of the hollow shaft, an outer circular groove(12) formed in the location corresponding with the inner circular groove, and a slipping connecting unit(4).
