PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for optimizing calibration maps for an algorithm of estimation of a control quantity of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: A method for optimizing a plurality of calibration maps Mnfor an algorithm of estimation of a control quantity Pctrof an internal combustion engine is described. Each of the maps comprises a plurality of calibration values Pclbof the control quantity Pctrsestimated by the algorithm. The optimization method comprises a step of measuring the control quantity Pctrm, a step of estimating the control quantity Pctrs, and a step of individually optimizing each calibration map Mnbased on the measured control quantity Pctrm and the estimated control quantity Pctrs.
