PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve appearance of the interior of a vehicle and enhance sealing performance between a vehicle body and a door while suppressing cost. SOLUTION: This weather strip for the vehicle closes a clearance G<SB>1</SB>between an edge part 52 of an opening part 12 which is formed on a vehicle body 11 opened/closed by a door 16 having a door panel 18 formed by press molding a window frame part 21 and a door body 22 and the door 16. The weather strip is provided with a base part 48 fixed to the edge part 52 of the opening part 12; an abutment part 39 abutting on a portion in the vicinity of an outer end of a door panel 18 while the door 16 closes the opening part 12; and an extending projection part 41 protruded from the abutment part 39 to the door 16 side.
