PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device for capturing flying insects by which flying insects such as flies and bees can be well attracted and captured. SOLUTION: The device for capturing flying insects comprises a lower vessel 1 having an outer circumferential wall 12 directing in vertical direction along the whole circumference of the side face, and an upper cover 2 having an opened bottom and attached to the upper part of the lower vessel 1 in a manner to cover the upper part of the lower vessel 1. A horizontal gap S is formed between the upper outer side of the outer circumferential wall 12 of the lower vessel 1 and the lower inner side of the upper cover 2, and the gap S formed between the lower vessel 1 and the upper cover 2 is used as an invasion port 3 to allow the entering of the flying insects into the vessel.
