A connector is provided to prevent a connection terminal from being pressed out from a housing although an operator excessively rotate an operating lever by mistake. A base(11) comprises an opening into which the tip-end part of a flexible substrate is inserted in the front side. In the base, a plurality of inserting holes are installed parallel with a predetermined pitch. On the upper side edge of rear side of the base, a position restricting surface of lower level is formed. An operating lever(40) protrudes a T-shaped operating piece(23) on a connection part and has a rotation point as the upper side of a connection terminal. The operating lever comprises a cam(42) for driving a manipulation supporting unit(24).
