PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To level use frequency among sectors by suppressing the generation of segmentation. SOLUTION: A data file (DF) of a size N is created. A file for management including a table D for storing the ID of the DF in which the leading sub-file (SF) of an object file is written and a table T for storing the use validity/invalidity flag of each DF and the next file ID are created. A file X is divided into a plurality of files SF, and successively selected. An available current DF is retrieved by referring to the file for management, and opened in an update read mode, and the selected SF is written, and "invalidity" is set in the use validity/invalidity flag of the current DF of the table T. When the selected SF is the leading SF, the ID of the current DF is written in the file X corresponding region of the table D, and otherwise, the ID of the current DF is written in the next file ID region of the DF in which the SF selected just in advance of the table T is written of the table T.
