The invention relates to a photovoltaic device for the direct conversion of solar energy to electrical energy. Said device comprises at least one solar cell (20) and at least one optical elment (30), associated with the at least one solar cell (20), for deflecting the perpendicularly incident solar radiation (35) to the associated solar cell (20) arranged at a distance thereto, the projection of the surface of the optical element (30) on to the plane comprising the solar cell (20) adjoining the surface of the latter. The optical element (30) has a thickness of less than a few hundreds of micrometers especially less than 100 micrometers. The invention also relates to a corresponding method of production. |
